Bio : Michael Rourke is the CEO of Hudsun Media.

Hudsun Media is a multi-platform production company and creative agency based in New York and Los Angeles.  Born in the fires of television, Hudsun has evolved into a strategically minded content machine partnering with networks, MCNs, agencies and brands to create engaging, entertaining and premium content.  Hudsun partnered with Mattel to produce the upcoming ABC series “The Toy Box” hosted by Eric Stonestreet. Currently, the company has over 10 new projects in development at various cable and broadcast networks.

The company’s television series include the true crime series “Bad Blood” for Discovery ID, the acclaimed “House of DVF,” a hybrid docu‐competition series set around fashion icon Diane von Furstenberg for E!, “Celebrity Renovation” for FYI, “Fashionably Late with Rachel Zoe” for Lifetime, the gritty docuseries “Living Different” for Oxygen, “The Fabulist,” a weekly trend talk show for E!,  “Pregnant in Heels” for Bravo, “I’m Having Their Baby” for Oxygen, and “The Doc Club” for OWN.

Hudsun has been a trailblazer in the digital space, creating content for the digital launches of Conde Nast Entertainment’s Glamour, GQ, and Teen Vogue video channels, creating and producing “DIYselfie” for Vevo, “Style Studio Rebecca Minkoff” for Yahoo and “Decoding Style with Nina Garcia” for AOL.  Having emerged as a leading branded content company, Hudsun recently produced the wildly successful “My Houzz” series with Ashton Kutcher for Houzz.  Additionally, Hudsun worked with Nine West to launch “Channel 9,” a leading fashion channel on YouTube.  The company also created “Unracked with Gilt Groupe,” and partnered with Mattel’s Barbie brands to produce the record breaking Hulu series “Genuine Ken: The Search for the Great American Boyfriend.”  Other branded clients include Smartwater, Mode, Kay Jewelers, Amazon Fashion, and Charlotte Tilbury.

Prior to forming Hudsun Media, Rourke spent nine years in a highly successful production deal with Sony Pictures Television where he launched three daily syndicated shows for the studio and ultimately produced thousands of episodes of television.  Rourke created and oversaw SPT’s daily courtroom shows “Judge Hatchett,” “Judge Maria Lopez,” and “Judge David Young” as well as Executive Produced the daily talk show “Ricki Lake.”  Rourke was also the Executive Producer of the VH1 series “The RuPaul Show” as well as an Emmy nominated producer for NBC News and “First Person with Maria Shriver” and “Today.”
